Terms & conditions

1. About us and these terms

These terms apply to every class, pack, membership and booking you make with Studio Bronte. By booking or buying, you agree to them.

  • Studio Bronte is the trading name of Studio Bronte Pilates Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.

  • Studio address: 1–3 South Street, Chichester, PO19 1EH.

  • Contact: hello@studiobronte.co.uk.

  • "We" and "us" means Studio Bronte. "You" means the person booking or attending.

  • You must be 16 or over to attend. Under-18s need a parent or guardian to accept these terms on their behalf.

2. Booking and your account

All classes must be booked in advance through our booking system, Momence, on our website or app. Walk-ins are only accepted if a reformer is free.

  • You need an account to book. Please keep your details accurate and your login private.

  • Each booking is for one named person and cannot be transferred.

  • Classes have a maximum of 10 people. If a class is full, you can join the waitlist.

  • If a space opens up, waitlisted clients are added automatically and notified by email. Please check your emails before class, as the usual cancellation rules then apply.

  • We may cancel or change a class, instructor or timetable when we need to. If we cancel, your credit or payment will be returned to your account.

3. Payments, class packs and expiry

All classes, packs and memberships are paid for in full at the time of purchase. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies.

  • Class credits are personal to you. They cannot be shared, transferred, exchanged for cash or refunded, except where the law requires.

  • Each pack has an expiry date, shown when you buy it and in your account. The 5 Class Pack expires 3 months after purchase. Unused credits are lost after expiry.

  • The Three Class Intro Pack is for first-time clients only and can be bought once per person.

  • Discount codes and promotions cannot be combined unless we say so, and can be withdrawn at any time.

  • We may change our prices. Changes will not affect packs you have already bought.

Your right to cancel. If you buy online, you have 14 days to change your mind and get a refund. If you book and attend classes during those 14 days, we will deduct the value of the classes used. Once a pack is fully used, this right ends.

4. Memberships

Monthly memberships have a 3-month minimum term and then roll on monthly until you give 4 weeks' notice.

  • Payments are taken automatically each month by card on the same date as your first payment.

  • Monthly credits are for that billing month only and do not roll over.

  • Unlimited memberships allow one class per day, booked under your own name.

  • To cancel, email hello@studiobronte.co.uk or cancel through your account. Notice can be given during the minimum term but takes effect after it ends.

  • If a payment fails, we will try again and may pause your bookings until it is paid.

  • You may freeze your membership for medical reasons or pregnancy with written notice. Other freezes are at our discretion.

  • The Annual Unlimited membership is paid upfront for 12 months and is non-refundable after your 14-day cooling-off period, except for medical reasons with a doctor's note.

Founding Memberships. Founding Members keep their founding price for as long as their membership runs without a break. If you cancel, the founding price ends and cannot be restored. Founding Memberships start on the date of your first class, not the date of payment. Founding gifts are only included with this membership.

5. Cancellations, late arrivals and no-shows

You can cancel a class for free up to 12 hours before it starts, and your credit goes back into your account.

  • Classes start on the hour. Please arrive 5 minutes early so we can set you up on your reformer.

  • We do not accept late arrivals. Doors close when the class starts, and if you arrive after the start time you will not be able to join. The class will count as a no-show.

  • If we have to cancel a class, you will always get your credit back.

  • All In and Founding Memberships are unlimited, so there are no credits to lose. Instead, a £5 fee is charged to your card on file for any class cancelled less than 12 hours before it starts.

6. Health, safety and pregnancy

You take part in classes at your own risk and are responsible for telling us about anything that may affect your safety.

  • Please complete the health questionnaire when you create your account, and update it if anything changes.

  • Tell your instructor before class about any injury, illness, surgery or medical condition. If you are unsure whether reformer Pilates is right for you, speak to your GP first.

  • If you are pregnant or have given birth in the last 12 weeks, please tell us and get your GP or midwife's approval before attending. We may suggest more suitable classes.

  • Follow your instructor's guidance and work within your own limits. Stop and tell the instructor if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort.

  • Instructors may adapt or stop an exercise, or ask you to sit out, if they believe it is unsafe for you.

  • Please do not attend if you are unwell or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

7. Studio etiquette

We want Studio Bronte to feel welcoming for everyone, so we ask all clients to:

  • Wear grip socks on the reformers. You can buy them at the studio.

  • Wear comfortable, fitted clothing without zips or buckles that could damage the upholstery.

  • Clean your reformer after class with the spray and cloth provided.

  • Keep phones on silent and out of the class.

  • Bring a water bottle. Food and drinks other than water are not allowed on the studio floor.

  • Look after your belongings. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • Treat staff, instructors and other clients with respect. We may refuse entry or end a booking or membership, without refund, for abusive, unsafe or disruptive behaviour.

8. Liability, photography, privacy and contact

Liability. We are not liable for injury, loss or damage caused by your failure to follow these terms or your instructor's guidance, or by not telling us about a health condition. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Photography and filming. We sometimes take photos and videos in the studio for our website and social media. We will always tell you before filming a class. If you would rather not appear, just let your instructor know. Please do not film other clients without their permission.

Privacy. We use your personal details to manage your bookings, payments and health information, and to keep you updated about the studio. We never sell your data. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on our website, and we will tell members about any major changes.

Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Questions or complaints. Email hello@studiobronte.co.uk and we will reply within 5 working days.
